We are pleased to announce Marley and Charley have had their first and ONLY litter of puppies born Friday, January 16, 2015. My husband and son delivered ELEVEN puppies. Marley was in labor about three hours. Mama and babies are doing well. All of the babies lived and appear to be very healthy. She had 7 boys and 4 girls. The smallest one weighed about 13.5 oz and the largest about 1 lb 1 oz. Marley is an amazing Mama, doing everything she should. She is very attentive and can tell when one is squealing and will calm it. She allows the kids to freely pick up the puppies and they have been handled from just a few hours old.  Welcome to the world, sweet babies!

 Here are all eleven puppies at just 2 days old. The lighter ones get there color from Marley, who is a lighter dog due to her English decent. Charley has a more red tint and the darker ones get their color from him.

 Here is my two-year-old handeling a baby. Marley is a very sweet mama and allows us to freely handle her babies any time. However, when the babies begin to squeal, her head raises as if to say, "ok, give him back....."
